Landscape Bed Weed Control

Start preventing weeds in your flower beds before they get out of control!

What does a weed pre-emergent do?

We all know what a chore keeping weeds out of mulch beds can be. You can help reduce the amount of weeds growing in your landscape beds by applying a pre-emergent ahead of time. A pre-emergent will create an invisible “barrier” making it difficult for weeds to penetrate and grow through the mulch.

Program Outline

Our program consists of 3 pre-emergent weed control applications to give you a fighting chance of keeping weeds away!

Round 1

Early Spring Pre-emergent Weed Control Application to Landscape Beds

Round 2

Spring / Summer Pre-emergent Weed Control Application to Landscape Beds

Round 3

Fall Pre-emergent Weed Control Application to Landscape Beds

*Please Note – Applying pre-emergent weed control does not guarantee weed-free beds. Certain conditions will still be favorable for weed growth (such as sunlight, moisture, etc). Some weeding will still be required but consistent pre-emergent applications will greatly reduce the amount of weed growth!

Tips To Help You Prevent Weeds

  • Keep a good layer of mulch in your beds. Apply new mulch each season at an approximate depth of 2-3 inches.
  • Hand pull or spot spray weeds that penetrate the barrier as soons as possible.
  • Limit traffic in mulch beds and try not to disturb the mulch. You can break up the “invisible barrier” by doing so.
  • If you are experiencing excess moisture in your beds, look for a new drainage solution.
